Mass produced from 4 sub-assemblies. Produced throughout
WWII. Conceived by General Guderian as a heavy support 
tank It had a fine balance of firepower mobility and protection.
Extra armor and many modifications were introduced until
production ceased in 1945. Later models were equipped with a 
long 7.5 cm gun. The chassis was used for many other combat vehicles.
